NOVAA Launches New Volunteer Management Discussion Group
Here are the basics:
Joining the Group
• Go to http://groups.google.com/group/NOVAAmembers
• Click on Join This Group in the right hand column
• Sign in with whichever email address you use to access Google Docs, Gmail, etc.
o If you don’t have a Google account, click on Create an Account and enter the required information
• Choose your membership settings
• You’re good to go!
Posting a Message
• Go to the Discussions page by clicking the link in the right hand column or going directly to http://groups.google.com/group/NOVAAmembers/topics
o Click “+ New Post” in the right hand column or below existing posts
• New messages can also be posted by emailing them to NOVAAmembers@googlegroups.com
Guidelines for Posting
Members of the NOVAA Board will volunteer to moderate the discussion to ensure that it meets your expectations. Please observe these guidelines to help them:
• Please include your name on every post.
• You are encouraged to include the name of your organization and your email address too - but it is NOT required.
• Send messages intended for one person directly to that person.
• Keep to topics that are relevant to NOVAA members.
• Be polite.

The NOVAA listserv will only be as useful as we, the members of NOVAA, make it. If members post to it regularly, and respond to requests for information or make comments on posts, it will provide a wealth of information and become an outstanding resource for our organization.
