Position Announcement for Assistant Volunteer Coordinator

Working Conditions:
Event type atmosphere including frequent standing and some computer work. Late evenings, early mornings and weekends. Maximum of 1-2 shifts, seven times per year. Must be able to lift 35 pounds and perform moderate physical activity which includes pushing and or pulling carts or hand carts, bending, stooping, and twisting.

Minimum Position Requirements:
• Comfortable organizing large groups of people and have leadership skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to supervise volunteers
• Must be a team player with ability to work with employees and volunteers
• Must be able to listen to instructions and follow through accordingly
• Ability to make independent decisions, with training and guidance
• Good sense of humor and excellent communication skills
• Flexibility
• Excellent organizational skills, customer service and computer skills
• Genuine enthusiasm for the services and mission of Oregon Public Broadcasting

Preferred:
• Certified Volunteer Administrator (CVA)
