NOVAA Membership Meeting
Description: Coaching Skills for Effective Leadership. Inherent in the role of non profit leadership is the ability to effectively guide and direct volunteer staff that will demonstrate appreciation, encourage personal and professional growth and ultimately meet or exceed the organization’s mission and desired outcomes. During this interactive session, we will review the guiding principles of coaching, the five roles of a coach and the use of empowering language and powerful questions. We will also practice the art of active listening that will show how you can impact the listener both in a positive and negative way with your attention and focus. Anne Golden is head of Anne Golden Associates a consulting firm focused on coaching and developing leadership skills as well as career management and transition. Anne’s clients include non profits, government entities and small/medium size businesses. Anne currently serves on the board of the Ashland Community Hospital as well as the incoming board chair of the Southern Oregon Chapter of the American Red Cross.
