NOVAA created an extensive survey in spring 2009. The survey was created by NOVAA board members, chaired by President-Elect Carol Cruzan and compiled by Secretary Caryn Servis. The survey was created to get definitive and quantitative answers from our members, potential members, and colleagues. The survey was created using Survey Monkey and was sent out via several electronic methods, including direct email to members, past members, CNRG and the like. Overall, the survey reached over 1,000 potential respondents.

The NOVAA study group for CVA (Certification in Volunteer Administration) candidates is beginning to form. Join us and strengthen your professional credibility! The study group is planning to start meeting in the new year but the CVA registration will remain open until March 1, 2010.
Register NOW and Save Money! The CCVA is offering an early bird registration rate of $200 through December 31st. The registration rate increases to $200on January 1st. Does this sound like more money than you can afford? NOVAA members are eligible to apply for a CVA assistance scholarship. Need-based awards will be granted on criteria of how the applicants, or their organization, will benefit from participation in the program. Scholarship applications will be due one month prior to the registration deadline. The scholarship committee will make every effort to notify the winner at least 2 weeks prior to the deadline. Scholarship applications are available online at the NOVAA website (www.novaa.org) in the forms section.
